Like a giant armored isopod, Shell Warden crawls through space. Its broad blue shell is ridged in overlapping plates, with rows of small legs tucked beneath, each tipped with a glowing light. A long curved arm reaches forward from its side, holding a small cannon that fires a hot yellow beam.
Shell Warden is a Guardian of the Cosmic Collective, and defense is its greatest strength. When an outpost is under attack, Shell Warden simply settles on top of it and curls up. Nothing gets through.
The soul inside was a nursery teacher who once held a classroom door shut during a storm until help arrived. When she Upleveled, she wanted a body that could hold every door at once.
Its signature is the Curl. Shell Warden wraps its shell around whatever needs protecting, and its overlapping plates deflect lasers, missiles and rams. Meanwhile, the curved arm reaches out and fires the yellow beam at anything that tries to pry it open. It is slow and steady, and it never, ever lets go.
