Imagine a giant flatfish painted for a tropical sea. That is Lagoon Lance, a wide oval saucer splashed with teal, lime and deep ocean blue. A chain of copper ring cannons runs down its middle like a string of buttons. From the front ring blazes a long, pale orange beam, bright enough to light a whole sky. Small guns on its belly spit short bursts of white fire while it glides.
The mind inside once mapped coral reefs on a drowning world. When the seas rose too fast, she chose to Uplevel so she could keep guarding living places, even in space. She still thinks of every planet as a reef that needs a keeper.
Her special attack is the Lance itself. Each copper ring charges the next one, faster and hotter, until the beam leaves the nose like a spear thrown by a thousand hands. The Capital uses her to clear pirate nests away from new colonies. She does the job slowly, carefully, and never misses.
