What a wild contraption. Steam Gatling has a sweeping crimson body that curves down into a green ring at its belly, and pale grey hoses loop over its back like the pipes of an old engine room. A tall black smokestack glows at its rear, and mounted at its nose spins a rotary gun that spits a steady stream of hot rounds.
The soul inside was a train engineer who loved old steam engines more than any modern ship. When he Upleveled, he asked the Directory to keep the steam. It did.
His special attack is the Gatling Whistle. His smokestack blows a loud whistle as the rotary gun spins up to full speed, firing a stream of rounds so thick it looks like a solid beam. He is clunky, noisy and proud of it. Steam Gatling flies Independent, working as an escort and a hired gun. Ships hear his whistle long before they see him coming.
