Service record
Long, thin and bright blue, this racer is shaped like a needle with wings. A tall curved fin rises from its middle, and its narrow nose stretches far ahead of its body. Streaks of white light blur past it as it flies. A small pink brain sits in a glass dome near its center. Blue Needle races for The Capital in official competitions, the fastest ship in its class. At the helm, so to speak, is Mei Lin Zhao, a sewing champion from the textile cities of New Shanghai. She could thread a needle with her eyes closed. When The Capital needed a racer who could fly through the tightest gaps, she was their first choice. Her speed is a perfect ten. Her signature move is the Thread Pass. She flies straight through gaps no other ship would dare, between asteroids, through enemy formations and even through closing doors, leaving rivals stuck behind her.
