Claws, spines and fire. This dark purple beast is ribbed and armored, crowned with curved horns and long black spikes that sweep back like a wild mane. Pink lights glow in a row along its flank like hungry eyes, and from its open jaws pours a column of searing orange flame.
Ember Maw is a beast more than a ship, and the Ziefin raiders use it like a hunting dragon. They point it at a fortified station, step back, and wait for the walls to melt.
The soul inside was a volcano miner who worked the lava fields of a fire world. A cave collapse trapped him for nine days in the heat. When he was finally pulled out, he said the fire had become a friend. He took the Ziefin offer to Uplevel because they promised him all the fire he wanted.
Its signature attack is Molten Breath, driven by its blazing special attack. The flame stretches into a long burning river that carves straight through shields and armor.
