Every thought this ship has becomes a bolt of light. Red Synapse has a crimson body ridged and folded like the surface of a brain, wrapped around a round helmet of a head at the front. From its flanks, pink beams burst out in every direction at once.
It moves in sudden jerks, sparking and flashing, twitching from one target to the next as if its whole hull were a single restless mind.
The Cyborons made it from an experiment that went too far. The mind inside belonged to a scientist who tried to plug her brain into a battle computer. The link worked too well, and she could not unplug. She chose to Uplevel the rest of the way rather than live half in and half out.
