Service record
Stacked in thick layers like a golden brick, Brass Beam is a heavy yellow fighter whose seams glow with faint white light. A big turret on its roof fires a long piercing beam across the green sky. A red sensor eye glows at the tip of its nose spike, and a toothy grille runs along its middle. Engines burn bright at the rear and beneath it.
Brass Beam is The Capital's police patrol ship. It is not fast, but its special attack is strong, and its defense is sturdy for a fighter. The long white beam reaches farther than most guns, so speeders get a warning shot long before they get close to the city.
The soul inside was a traffic officer in a busy city who loved order. Every light in its place. Every lane flowing. When The Capital asked him to Uplevel and patrol the space lanes, he said it was the job he was born for. He hands out more warnings than shots. He believes most people just need to slow down.
