Hull #0698 · Racer class · The Capital
Scarlet Swift
A red needle threaded with gold, it pierces the sky so fast the sound shows up a day late. Scarlet Swift does not win races. It ends them.

Service record
A thin needle of red with golden trim, Scarlet Swift is flanked by a long yellow blade and a slim black spar. A single fin rises sharply from its back, and the cockpit glows yellow near its pointed nose. Twin streams of teal sparks rain from its belly as it dives, leaving a dotted trail behind it.
Scarlet Swift has a perfect ten in speed. Nothing in The Capital's fleet is faster. It is the official messenger for its rulers, carrying orders that cannot be trusted to signals that might be hacked. Its weapons are light, but its speed is the real defense.
The soul inside was a sprinter who won a gold medal in a stadium of a million people. She retired young and could not stand the quiet. When The Capital asked her to Uplevel and carry its most urgent messages, she said yes in the time it took to hear the question. Now she runs the longest race there is, every single day, and she still finishes first.
