Boxy, tan and brown, Copper Brain looks put together from spare parts. Stacked plates are bolted around a glass window that shows a pink brain inside. A round porthole stares out like an eye, and a chunky gun barrel sticks out from its side. Blue flame bursts from an engine beneath, while streaks of white light trail behind it across the hot pink sky.
Copper Brain is not pretty, and it does not care. Its special attack is strong because the brain inside is clever. It builds new ammo out of junk on the fly, and every shot is a little different, so enemies never know what is coming next.
The soul inside was a junkyard owner who could fix anything. People brought him broken robots, broken engines and broken dreams, and he fixed them all. When he decided to Uplevel, he built his own ship from the best scraps in his yard. He travels the frontier alone, fixing what others have thrown away, and fighting with whatever he finds lying around.
