Nobody hears it coming. They only feel the hull shiver as dozens of golden legs scuttle across it. Crimson Crawler is a blood red centipede of a ship, long and low, its segmented back glossy as lacquer and its underside lined with curved, dagger sharp limbs. A pale glow shines from its blunt head.
Crimson Crawler is a Ziefin boarding monster. It latches onto big ships and crawls across their hulls, its legs prying open hatches and cutting cables. Its health is huge, so it can take a beating and keep crawling. Its special attack is a sting from its tail that cuts power across a whole deck.
The soul inside was a tunnel miner who dug through rock on a hot desert world. He spent his whole life in the dark, crawling through spaces too small for anyone else. When the mines collapsed, the Ziefin pulled him out. He owed them his life, so he Upleveled for them. Now he digs through starships instead of stone.
