Glass Pike

Half skeleton, half ghost, this ship glides through a sea green void like something that should not still be swimming. A silver spine runs from snout to tail, ribbed with thin white bones. Around them shimmers a clear fish shaped body, there one moment and faint the next. Fins of rainbow glass trail below. At its center, packed in tight with wires and gears, glows a pink pilot brain. That brain belonged to a deep sea diver named Oren Vale. He spent his first life mapping trenches no one else would enter. When the Uplevel call came, he chose a body that could go even deeper. Now he roams the frontier as an Independent, taking charts and salvage jobs for anyone who pays fair. His special attack is the Phantom Lance. Glass Pike turns its whole body into light, passes straight through enemy armor, and fires a beam from inside their hull. Then the bones snap back into place, and the ghost is gone.
