Sun Darter

Golden as desert sand, this fighter rises straight up out of a blazing sun. Its fish shaped hull is tall and narrow, with a frilled teal crest running down its spine. Red fins stick out from short arms on each side, and twin lasers fire white hot beams in two directions at once. Thin glowing streams curl around it like heat in the air. The soul inside is Ilka Sorrens, a solar engineer who once kept a mining colony warm by hand. When her colony's star began to fade, she Upleveled to carry the light herself. Now she flies with the Cosmic Collective, guarding the lanes near The Directory. Her special attack is the Noon Strike. Sun Darter drinks in light from any nearby star, then lets it out through both lasers at once. The twin beams cross at the target and flash as bright as midday, blinding whole squadrons while she darts in close.
