Long, thin and bright green, this racer is little more than two huge turbines strapped to a spear. Black bands wrap its body, and a sharp spike points forward from its front turbine. A tall swept fin rises from its tail like the stem of a leaf. A pink pilot brain rides low in a narrow cockpit near the middle, tucked tight against the wind.
Turbine Needle is Independent. It runs messages, races for prize money and never stays anywhere long. The soul inside was a courier who rode a bike through crowded city streets. He Upleveled because no road on any planet was ever long enough for him.
Its top power is pure speed. When both turbines spin up together, it hits a burst called the Needle Thread, slipping through gaps so narrow that other racers crash trying to follow. It is not built to fight. It wins by being somewhere else before the shooting starts.
