Purple spikes stab out of this ball shaped raider in every direction, sharp as needles. Below them, thick black tubes jut from the body like cannon barrels pointing all ways at once. Across its face runs a row of curved purple ribs, and from its side pour long glowing tendrils of blue white energy that drift behind it like the hair of a ghost.
Urchin Void belongs to the Ziefin, the alien raiders of the Frontier. The soul inside was a deep sea diver who touched a strange glowing reef and never quite came back the same. When the Ziefin offered her a body that could swim through space, she took it gladly.
The glowing tendrils are her signature weapon, the Void Tether. They latch onto enemy ships, wrap them tight and drain their energy straight into her core. Her special attack is fierce and her armour is thick. Captured ships go silent. Then she pulls them close, and her black tubes open wide. Nobody has ever escaped her grip by fighting. Only by being too far away to catch.
