Angular slabs of dark violet armor drink in the light around Night Bore, a heavy bullet of a ship. Its blunt nose ends in a hexagonal opening rimmed with a thin white glow, like an eye peering out of the dark. Small fins jut from its sides, three cyan thrusters burn at its tail, and a pink brain sits tucked under a hatch on its back.
Night Bore belongs to the Cyborons. It was built as a mining drill, meant to tunnel through asteroids for metal. The Cyborons rewired it to tunnel through other things: space stations, armored hulls and locked vaults.
The soul inside was a miner trapped in a cave-in for three days. When rescue came too late, The Directory offered her an Uplevel. She chose the drill that could have saved her.
Its top stats are special attack and defense. Its signature is the Hex Bore. The hexagon nose glows white, spins up and fires a beam that cuts a perfect six sided hole through anything. Night Bore follows the beam straight through. Its heavy armor shrugs off whatever it hits on the way.
