Spider Lance

Long, lean and olive green, this hunter is painted in soft camouflage panels that make it hard to see against dark space. Four thin legs splay out beneath it like a water strider skating across a pond, and twin turrets on its back spit pale beams in long, parallel lines. Spider Lance was once a deep space surveyor named Pell Arando, a quiet woman who liked to map things nobody else noticed. She Upleveled after her survey crew vanished near the Drift Belt, hoping a ship's senses could find what human eyes had missed. She never found them, but she found a purpose. Now she flies scout patrol for the Cosmic Collective. Her legs feel tiny ripples in space, so she senses ships long before they appear. Her signature attack is the Twin Lance Volley, two beams fired so straight and so close together that they cut a clean lane through enemy armor. She waits, she listens, and then she strikes from angles nobody expected.
