Row after row of crimson and cream blades stand side by side, curving upward like feathers, to form one long and strange vessel. From the side it looks like a giant comb or the spine of a great bird. Each blade is red at the root and pale at the tip. A tiny round cockpit peeks out from the front, almost hidden among the blades.
Comb Wall guards the inner lanes of the Cosmic Collective. The soul inside was a choir leader who taught hundreds of voices to sing as one. When the Collective needed a mind that could control many parts at once, she was the perfect match.
Now every blade moves to her rhythm. Her defence is one of the best in the fleet, because the blades lock together to form a solid shield. Her signature attack is the Feather Volley. The blades lift away one by one, spin through the air and slash through enemy formations, then return to their places like singers stepping back into line. She calls it a song. Her enemies call it a storm.
