Service record
Jagged and dark as a moonless night, Black Fang tears through the green void with five thrusters burning gold behind it. Red stripes trace its armour like old scars. Spiked fins jut from its top and bottom, thick black cables coil along its sides, and a cluster of silver prongs extends from its nose like a set of steel fangs.
It flies with the Cyborons, the rogue machine ships of the Frontier. Its pilot was a security guard who once protected a data vault. During the Uplevel, the ship's own hunting code grew louder than his voice, and slowly the guard and the predator became the same thing.
Its signature weapon is the Fang Lock. The silver prongs fire forward on cables, bite into an enemy hull and pump in a virus that shuts down engines, shields and weapons one by one. The defence is strong and the speed is solid, so Black Fang can dart in, bite and pull away before its prey even knows it is caught. Then it waits, patient as a shadow, for the systems to fail.
