Quantum

Long, sleek and alien, Quantum is a ribbed creature of blue and violet that seems to flicker as it moves. Curved fins sweep back from its head like the bones of a great fish, each tipped in red. At its center a ring of white and green light pulses like a heartbeat, and a twisted trail of red and yellow fire streams from its tail.

The Ziefin found Quantum, or Quantum found them. Nobody is sure. It hunts with their raiding fleets now, but always slightly apart, as if it is somewhere else at the same time.

The soul inside was a racer who once lost a championship by half a second. She Upleveled so she would never be late again. Now she is never quite on time either. She is always just ahead.

Its strongest stats are speed and special attack, tied at nine. Its signature is the Phase Lash. Quantum blinks out, reappears behind its target, and fires a burst of red light that hits before the sound of its arrival catches up. Enemies swear they were hit before they saw it.
