Tessellation

Think of a puzzle in flight. Tessellation's hull is covered in interlocking tiles of jade, lime and dark green, fitted together in a curving mosaic that flows from nose to tail. Short stubby thrusters jut from its sides, each puffing clouds of white vapor, and a single dark cannon peeks from its pale nose.

The mind inside was a math teacher who loved patterns more than anything. She believed every problem had a shape. When she Upleveled, the Cyborons rebuilt her as a ship made of moving pieces, and she finally became a pattern herself.

Her special attack is Shatter Shift. When enemies fire, her tiles slide apart and let the shots pass through empty space, then snap back together. In the same move, her nose cannon fires a heavy bolt at the shooter. She is hard to hit and harder to understand. The Cyborons use her to test new tricks, and she always finds a better one.
