It does not look like a ship at all. Synap looks like a brain. Its rounded orange body is covered in winding grooves that twist and fold like coral, fading to gold toward its tip. A metal band wraps its crown, studded with small sensors, and around its middle orbits a ring of glowing pearls that spin like tiny moons.
The mind inside belonged to a brain scientist who spent her whole life asking how thoughts work. She chose to Uplevel to find out from the inside. The Directory gave her a body shaped like her greatest question.
Her special attack is the Mind Pulse. The pearls spin faster and faster until they release a ripple of pure thought that scrambles enemy targeting and makes ships forget where they are going. Synap serves the Cosmic Collective as a thinker and a planner. She sees battles before they start and knows every move ahead. Fleets that listen to her rarely lose.
