Beethoven

Buzzing into battle with a round head striped yellow and black, this ship grins through a mouth lined with silver teeth. A single wide wing with matching stripes rises from its back, and thin yellow legs splay out beneath it like the points of a star. From its mouth roars a long beam of orange fire that rolls across the deep plum sky.

Beethoven's special attack is loud. Very loud. The fire comes out with a sound wave behind it, a deep booming note that shakes enemy hulls apart from the inside. The louder it plays, the harder it hits.

The soul inside was a street musician who played the trumpet on a busy world, so loud that people heard him three blocks away. He was always told to keep it down. He never did. When he Upleveled, he found a ship that could finally play as loud as he wanted. He travels alone, performing for anyone who will listen and defending small worlds when bullies come. The bullies always leave with ringing ears.
