Service record
Built for hire and nothing else, Contractor is a slab of black iron with a heart of fire. Its heavy hull is plated in dark grey and rust red, stacked like the walls of a fortress. The front opens into a glowing mouth of red hot barrels, and twin streams of yellow fire burn at its back.
Contractor is an Independent. It flies for whoever pays, and it never asks why. The soul inside was a builder who raised towers on a dozen worlds and was never paid for most of them. When he Upleveled, he swore he would never work for free again.
Its best weapon is the Invoice, a special attack that fires every barrel in its mouth at once. The red tracers pour out in a solid wall of fire that chews through shields and leaves ships glowing like coals. Its armor is thick and its health is deep, so it can take a beating while the bill is being paid.
When the job is done, Contractor turns away without a word. Its next client is already waiting.
