It swims through space like a giant sea turtle the size of a city. Shell Shock's back is plated in dark teal panels with bright lime seams, and a row of slim cannons stands along its shell like the ridge of a spine. Broad green flippers glide at its sides. From its head, a cluster of barrels unleashes a burst of white and lime fire.
Shell Shock is one of the Behemoths, so huge that small moons drift out of its way. It moves slowly, but nothing stops it. Its hull can soak up a whole fleet's fire, and its special attack is massive. Every cannon along its back fires at once in a rolling wave that lights up the sky for minutes.
The soul inside was a marine biologist who spent her life saving sea turtles on a warm ocean world. She Upleveled late in life to protect something bigger. She found her place with the Behemoths, gentle giants who move worlds only when they must. She still thinks like a turtle. Slow. Patient. Always heading home.
