Two halves of one ship drift apart with a blazing white star caught between them. Eclipse Split is a pair of black and yellow crescents. The left crescent curves like a glowing claw, its inner edge lined with brilliant light. The right holds the cockpit and engines, marked by a red sensor. The deep green sky glows around the trapped star.
Its special attack is close to the top of the fleet. The two halves can drift apart and swing around a target, and then the star between them flares. Anything caught in the middle is blinded, then burned.
The soul inside was a pair of rival astronomers who fought for years over who discovered a new star first. They both tried to Uplevel into the same ship on the same day, and The Directory, unable to choose, gave the ship to both. Now they share one hull split in two, with the star they argued over held between them. They fly for no faction. They are still arguing.
