Here is a curl of living color. Geographer's shell spirals outward like a giant seashell, painted in waves of turquoise, lime and sea green that ripple like lines on a topographic map. At its center sits an orange cockpit with a slender sensor mast, and behind it flows a long mane of copper red tendrils, waving like hair in the wind.
The soul inside was a mapmaker who never stayed in one place for more than a week. She Upleveled because no world was big enough for her curiosity.
Her special power is the Living Map. Every place she visits gets painted onto her shell, line by line, so she carries a record of everything she has explored. Her copper tendrils taste the air for signs of water, life and danger. She flies Independent and sells her maps to anyone who needs them, from Capital colonists to lost freighters. She never sells a map that could hurt a living world.
