Hull #0679 · Guardian class · The Capital
PAK
No wings, no fins and no weak side. Just a red sphere of solid stubbornness that rolls into the fire and rolls back out. PAK holds the line.

It is a perfect sphere of crimson armor. PAK's curved plates are stitched together like the panels of a ball, and a single round eye peers out from one side, ringed in steel and glowing red. Across its surface runs a long glowing slot, white hot with stored energy. It rolls through space slowly and steadily.
PAK has no edges for enemies to aim at. Its defense is among the highest in the fleet. Shots slide off the curved plates and bounce away. When the slot is full, PAK opens it and releases its special attack, a flat blade of white light that spins out in a perfect circle.
The soul inside was a goalkeeper for a famous team on a sports world. He was the kind who never let anything past. When The Capital needed a guard for its palace gates, it asked for him by name. He Upleveled and became the ball and the wall at once. Nobody gets through. Nobody has ever gotten through.
